In the burgeoning landscape of wireless communication, its pervasive influence on blockchain consensus mechanisms remains an understudied domain. This research delves into the nuanced interplay between wireless communication and blockchain performance, with a particular focus on scalability and decentralization. The proposal is an analytical framework, bolstered by extensive simulations, to quantify the effects of wireless communication on various consensus mechanisms.
Findings
The most striking result is that wireless connection helps improve the decentralization in blockchain! The reason for this result is straightforward. The intermittent wireless connection hinders such participation. Therefore, the level of 'inequality' is decreased among nodes participating in consensuses.
